4th of July

We had a great 4th of July this year.  It was just the two of us and it was pretty low key, but it was perfect.  On the 3rd, I came home from work to a clean house, a bouquet of lilies and a hard working, deck building husband outside.  We went and grabbed a quick lunch and then we came home and we both worked on our new deck all. day. long.  It is slowly coming together and we are so excited!  That evening we went and watched ECLIPSE...I thought it was pretty good...Matt was good to just endure it.  That night we went and got some snacks and then rode our scooter up to Sugar House Park where we cuddled on our blanket and watched the fire works....What a great finale this year!  We took Drama with us too.  She LOVES to ride the scooter and she has no problem with fireworks like most dogs so it was fun.  Plus she kept me warm!
On the 4th we worked outside during the day again and that night we went to the Bee's game.  We drove the scooter again because it is so much easier to find parking on a scooter!  We had great seats behind home plate...we ate hot dogs, nachos, licorice and dippin' dots the whole game.  I am not sure why I was so hungry but we spent a fortune on all the overpriced ball park food that night!  After the game there was a fireworks show and it was great too.  It was fun just to spend the weekend with Matt and think about the great country we live in and all the freedoms we enjoy.   Hope you all had a happy 4th!!
