Happy New Year 2009!!

On New Years Eve we went to Luke and Mariah's house in E-town to Party! We ate yummy snacks and played rock band and other fun games with old friends to bring in the the New Year! It was a lot of fun (but too cold to walk out to the car to get the camera--so no pics...sorry!)
On New Years Day we all drove down to Salina to Denny's then out to the cabin to snowmobile and relax in the mountains. It was so fun hanging out, playing games, snacking, and laughing the whole time! For dinner the boys grilled the hamburgers and the girls made the homemade fries...Yum! We stayed up so late watching movies and talking and then finally went to bed. After sleeping in a bit, we got up and ate cinnamon rolls and yogurt and then cleaned up and headed down the mountain. We didn't get to snowmobile as much as we had hoped since there wasn't much snow but we had a great time just being with friends! We definitely want to do that again soon!

Some like it Hot....Some like it Cold!

Tatum likes it Hot...Matt likes it Cold. So This week we are taking a couple small trips...one hot, one cold.
Thanks heavens the cold one is over already! Just kidding, it was actually a good time...even if it wasn't 80 degrees!
The last few days we went on a very wintery adventure down in the mountains near Salina.



Matt has been chomping at the bit up here in SLC waiting til we had a chance to get away so he can go ride snowmobiles with my dad. They went on a good ride with a few other guys for half the day and then I drove up the mountain with the food and supplies to spend the night at the cabin.



We spent Saturday night at the Olsen's Accord Lakes Cabin. We had a lot of fun just being alone together watching Lost! It is our new favorite series. We found the Jackpot at our local library and they carry almost every DVD that blockbuster does...only the rentals are free! So we have been watching Lost like crazy and we are already almost through season 3 and caught up to the latest season.



And even though the cabin was freezing cold when we first got there, Matt worked his little butt off to get it warm for me. He is quite the fire-maker and cuddler so he made sure I was nice and toasty!



Next adventure....Phoenix! We will be on our way down there to meet up with some of our friends who are on Spring Break. We will be there for a couple of days going to Spring Training baseball games and basking in the warm Arizona sun! I am so excited to wear summer clothes for a day! I will try and post pics of that when we get back. Hope you all had a great weekend!
